Meet April

Founder
Since 2004, April Fehrer has become a leading real estate authority in the San Luis Obispo wine country region. Sophisticated, professional, and down to earth, she achieved a 2021 transaction volume of $11.4 million. But instead of measuring monetarily, April prefers to measure her success based on the number of smiles at the closing table.

While she became licensed in 2004, April prefers to build strong foundations by working from the ground up. That’s why she started as an assistant, then became a buyer’s agent, then a partner, then a solo agent. She also has personal experience owning vacation rentals and designing spaces for local companies alongside her contractor husband, Ren. This patient, experience-driven strategy differentiates April in a greed-prone industry.

Having grown up in Paso Robles, April not only knows the local markets better than most, but she can also relay historical information, changes in the water table, areas of potential growth, school district data, vacation-rental permissibility, and permit waitlist timelines, among other valuable details rarely known — even by other lifelong residents. This up-to-date insider knowledge, combined with an in-depth understanding of the market, lends April and those she represents a significant advantage.

April believes in performing business with integrity. She leads with authenticity and always places the needs of her clients first. The golden rule is the cornerstone of April’s customer service approach. If she feels a situation is unsuitable for her client, she won’t think twice about leaving money on the table in pursuit of something better. A highly intuitive agent, April listens to everything her clients say — be it in words or body language — and their needs inform her advisory style. Happy to push onward or gently guide, she tunes her support to match each client so that they can move forward with confidence. It also comes in handy when negotiating.

Giving back to the communities that brought her so much success means a lot to April. A percentage of her commission goes to Big Brothers Big Sisters of America, Woods Humane Society, or both.
